The head of a railway station in the Mykolaiv region attempted to "buy a diagnosis" from a military medical commission doctor.

The station manager of Bereznegovatoe, part of the "Odesa Railway," tried to bribe a military medical commission member for fake medical documents that would delay his visit to the TCK.

According to a ruling from the Bereznegovat district court dated February 17, the defendant cooperated with the investigation and received a penalty of a 17,000 hryvnia fine.

From the case materials, it is known that the head of the railway station in Bereznegovatoe had the right to reservation; however, when he checked his records in June 2024, there was no corresponding decision at the TCK. To postpone his arrival at the TCK, the defendant opted to use counterfeit medical documentation.

The station manager visited the central district hospital to see a familiar doctor, who was also a member of the military medical commission. There, he solicited the doctor's help in fabricating a diagnosis, promising a reward in return.

On June 19, 2024, the defendant visited the doctor in his office and handed him a bribe of 2,000 hryvnias.
The actions of the accused were classified by the pre-trial investigation authorities under part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as an offer and provision of unlawful benefits to an official using his official position.

During the pre-trial investigation, an agreement on admission of guilt was reached between the prosecutor and the defendant. Under the agreement, the railway worker fully acknowledged his guilt and committed to cooperating with the investigation. He was fined 17,000 hryvnias. The verdict can be appealed in the appellate court.
