A North Korean soldier in captivity expressed his desire to live in Ukraine (video)
During an interrogation, one of the North Korean soldiers in captivity stated that he wants to remain in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky published a video of the first interrogation of the captured North Korean soldiers, who were taken prisoner in the Kursk region yesterday, January 11.
One of the captured Koreans has a jaw injury, so he could only nod "yes" or "no." From the other, more information was obtained.
In particular, one of the captives assured that until the interrogation, he did not know he was in Ukraine or fighting against Ukrainians. He claimed that they were being taken for "training."
The captive recounted that on January 3, they were sent to advance. He witnessed many of his compatriots being killed at the front.
One of the prisoners (the one with the broken jaw) indicated through nods that he wants to return home to North Korea. The other assured that he wants to live in Ukraine if given the chance to stay.
- I want to live in Ukraine, - said the prisoner.
