Four teenagers from the Pervomaisky district, acting on the orders of curators from the aggressor country, set fire to transformers. The perpetrators sent video reports of their acts of sabotage to their "clients," after which they received money in their electronic wallets.
This information was reported by the communications department of the Mykolaiv police.
It was noted that in October, the special hotline 102 received reports of fires at transformer substations in the Kryvoozersk community. Police established that the cause of the fire was intentional arson.
Law enforcement identified those involved in the crime—teenagers aged 14 and 15.
Under the guidance of a Russian curator, the teenagers first selected a "suitable" target, photographed it, and upon receiving permission to destroy it, set it on fire using gasoline. As a result, the perpetrators damaged several transformer substations.
The individuals documented their criminal actions on video for reporting purposes, for which they received money in their electronic wallets.
During authorized searches, investigators seized mobile phones, SIM cards, and bank cards from the suspects, which they used to communicate with their curator.
Investigators informed the perpetrators of their suspicion under part 2 of Article 21, part 2 of Article.
Comprehensive measures were carried out by the SBU employees in the Mykolaiv region in collaboration with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
As reported by the SBU press service, the occupiers recruited the suspects remotely through specially created Telegram channels, where they offered money in exchange for cooperation.
The perpetrators attempted to destroy electrical substations in various locations in the Pervomaisky district. In this way, the enemy planned to cut off power to a large part of the community.
For their actions, they face up to 15 years or life imprisonment. Currently, the teenagers are under round-the-clock house arrest.
