A teacher working for the Russian Federation has been detained in Mykolaiv: he set up a "watch post" on his roof.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) apprehended an FSB agent in Mykolaiv who was coordinating Russian strikes on the city. The individual turned out to be a former instructor at a local university. To identify the positions of Ukrainian air defense, he installed a hidden video camera in the attic of his home.
This "watch post" allowed the agent to monitor the movement of Ukrainian military equipment. During searches, authorities seized his phone, camera, and a flash drive containing evidence of espionage activities.
According to the SBU, he was recruited by the FSB after posting anti-Ukrainian comments on Russian Telegram channels.
The suspect has been charged with treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
