In Mykolaiv, reconstruction is underway for part of the food block building to create a laboratory for organ transplantation and other anatomical materials at the KNP "Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital" of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, located at: 1 Kyivska Street.

The project commenced in April 2024, with an expected duration of 11 months.
The cost is 24 million 139 thousand hryvnias.
Officials at the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital stated that to enhance the hospital's functional capabilities in the frontline region, a decision was made to establish a laboratory for supporting organ transplantation.
The laboratory will be intended for conducting analyses, storing tissue samples, and other biological materials necessary for transplantation surgeries and medical research.
There are two first-level interregional laboratories in Ukraine. One is located in Kyiv, and the other in Lviv. The laboratory in Mykolaiv will focus on the southern region of Ukraine.
Additionally, the hospital anticipates the possibility of performing organ transplants at the medical facility in the future, should a donor be available.
