In Mykolaiv, Russian forces struck the former brewery "Yantar" with a missile.

As a result of the missile attack on Mykolaiv in the evening of January 28, the buildings of the former "Yantar" brewery (now AB InBev Efes Ukraine) were destroyed.

The brewery resumed its beer production in the spring of 2023.

After the restoration of equipment, the brewery produced the legendary "Yantar", "Chernigivske Svitle", "Chernigivske Bile", "Chernigivske Bila Nich", "Rohan", and "Titan". At the time of the strike, employees were present in the facility — as previously reported, two female workers lost their lives due to the shelling, and their bodies were retrieved from the rubble by rescuers late in the evening.

The enemy missile, which preliminarily was identified as "Iskander-M", destroyed the production workshop of this entirely civilian enterprise. The administrative building of the brewery was also partially destroyed.
