A plane with dozens of passengers on board has crashed in Kazakhstan. Videos of the moment of the crash have circulated online.
In the morning, a plane crash occurred in Kazakhstan. An Azerbaijani Airlines aircraft went down near the Aktau airport.
It is reported that the plane was en route from Baku to Grozny, Russia. According to one source, there were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board. Preliminary reports indicate that the passengers included citizens from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with 15 of them being Russian nationals.
It was noted that due to fog in Grozny, the Embraer 190 was redirected to Makhachkala and then to Aktau.
Rescue services report that there are survivors.
"From the crash site, 12 individuals (including one child) with various injuries were transported to the Mangistau regional hospital in Aktau. There were 67 people on board, including crew members. A total of 14 ambulance teams are working at the scene," local media report.
Meanwhile, footage of the fire at the crash site has been released online, as well as the last moments of the aircraft in the airspace over the Kazakh airport.
