Death of a Man at the Military Recruitment Center: Details Emerge
The Ombudsman’s Office has responded to the death of a 32-year-old man during a military medical commission at the recruitment center in Chernivtsi.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, referring to information from the director of the regional emergency medical assistance center, noted that the medical team found the man in a state of clinical death.
"Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. The body has been sent for forensic examination to determine the cause of death,” the statement reads.
Law enforcement officials are investigating this incident under Article 115 of the Criminal Code (intentional homicide) with a note of "natural death."
"To clarify all circumstances of the case, my representative in the Chernivtsi region, Iryna Isopenko, has sent letters to the Chernivtsi regional recruitment center and social protection, the Chernivtsi zonal department of the State Bureau of Investigation, and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Chernivtsi region," he added.
“He was invited to the regional recruitment center for clarification of military registration information, to which he agreed,” the police reported in the morning.
During the military medical commission, his condition sharply deteriorated, he lost consciousness, and soon died.
