Putin is afraid to talk to me – Zelensky
Vladimir Zelensky expressed his willingness to negotiate with Russia but believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is avoiding a meeting without his entourage.
The Ukrainian leader shared this with reporters in Kyiv.
Zelensky described Moscow's demands to first lift the ban on negotiations with Putin as part of the Russian narrative. In his view, this is a way for Russia to find excuses to avoid a meeting.
"I am ready for negotiations if we have an understanding of how this war will end for us; there are no issues. The problem is that I feel Putin is fundamentally afraid to talk to me. I don't know why. He seems to be an adult, yet he is afraid to be alone with another person without his pack. However, I believe Trump can make him end the war," Zelensky stated.
