The Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, reported a shortage of bus and trolleybus drivers necessary for passenger transport within the city.

He made this announcement during a meeting of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council, which took place on Wednesday, December 25.

During the meeting, the mayor addressed the committee members and highlighted that Mykolaiv will soon receive additional buses and trolleybuses for passenger transport. However, he emphasized that there is a lack of drivers in the city.

- We could perform our transport services in Mykolaiv even more efficiently. We are still expecting transport. We anticipate additional buses through the EBRD project, and we expect more trolleybuses. The only real issue we have is drivers. Therefore, we hope for the swift return of our guys and girls from service so they can work. We will provide them with official jobs, salaries, taxes, and everything else, - said the mayor.
