Ukrainian paratroopers rescued a Russian assault soldier in handcuffs

In the Donetsk region, near Novopavlivka, the Russian command is sending fighters in handcuffs to storm the positions of the Defense Forces.

This was reported by Orest Drimalovsky, a representative of the press service of the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"We had a case where the Russian occupiers handcuffed one of their own, put him in a BMP, and released his hands just before the landing. They handed him a rifle, and all he had left was to storm. But he was lucky. Our paratroopers were having their reception hours at the time, took him in, and saved his life," he recounted.

The military added that the situation near Novopavlivka is difficult, and due to the cold weather, the occupiers have become more active and started using equipment that they had previously conserved.

According to Orest Drimalovsky, the occupiers are operating in a combined manner, employing small assault groups that attempt to approach the frontline and engage in combat. Typically, these are groups of up to 5 people on motorcycles, ATVs, buggies, and cars.

"The pride of the Soviet automotive industry. They are cutting the roofs off their 'Nivas', getting into such convertibles, and trying to speed as close as possible to our previous edge. However, they are successfully destroyed by our drone operators," he explained.

The military cited one of the recent assaults as an example, during which 18 occupiers were killed, 12 were wounded, and one was captured.
