The head of a railway station in the Mykolaiv region attempted to "buy a diagnosis" from a military medical commission doctor.
The head of the Beriznegovatoe railway station of the "Odesa Railway" tried to bribe a military medical commission member for fake medical documents that would delay his visit to the Territorial Center for Recruitment (TCR).
According to the decision of the Beriznegovatoe District Court dated February 17, the defendant cooperated with the investigation and received a penalty of a 17,000 hryvnia fine.
From the case materials, it is known that the head of the Beriznegovatoe railway station had the right to deferment; however, at the time of clarifying his registration details in June 2024, there was no corresponding resolution at the TCR. To postpone his arrival at the TCR, the defendant decided to use forged medical documents.
The station manager visited a familiar doctor at the central district hospital, who was also a member of the military medical commission. There, he asked the doctor for assistance in fabricating a false diagnosis, promising a reward in return.
On June 19, 2024, the defendant went to the doctor's office and handed him 2,000 hryvnias as a bribe.
The actions of the accused were classified by the pre-trial investigation authorities under part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - as the offering and providing of unlawful benefits to an official using their official position.
During the pre-trial investigation, an agreement on admission of guilt was reached between the prosecutor and the defendant. Under the agreement, the railway worker fully admitted his guilt and committed to cooperate with the investigation. He was fined 17,000 hryvnias. The verdict can be appealed in the appellate court.
