In Mykolaiv region, a young man fatally beat an elderly relative

On the evening of November 17, in the village of Chausovo Vtoroe, the body of a 58-year-old man was discovered with signs of violence.

This was reported by the First May District Police Department.

Police established that the crime was committed by his 23-year-old relative. During a drinking session, a quarrel broke out between them, and the young man assaulted the homeowner before leaving. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect has been detained and charged under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Grievous bodily harm resulting in death”), which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. The court will soon decide on a preventive measure.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
