Lavrov stated that Russia is not satisfied with the idea of a truce with Ukraine
Russia is not content with a ceasefire in the war against Ukraine. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as reported by Korrespondent citing the Russian Foreign Ministry on Telegram. "We need reliable, legally binding agreements aimed at addressing the root causes of the conflict, including overall security in Europe, NATO expansion, the recent decision by the European Union to essentially align itself with the bloc and effectively eliminate any differences between these organizations, and certainly the rights of people living in the territories who have expressed their desire to reunite with Russia," the Russian official asserted. According to him, Russia "harbors no illusions" regarding its prospects in 2025. "It has long been clear to all unbiased observers that a resolution... can only be achieved in the context of agreements on reliable security and stability in Europe that take into account Russia's interests and the legitimate interests of all other countries," Lavrov emphasized. Referring to Vladimir Putin's remarks, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Russia has never "shied away from negotiations" to end the war against Ukraine. In his Christmas message, the Pope called for an end to the war in UkraineA Ukrainian bus stuck in Germany has been repaired and is now on its way
