“Where to hide and when to come out”: Discussions on actions during a nuclear attack by the Russian Federation took place in Mykolaiv

At the Mykolaiv City Council, officials discussed the response strategies in the event of nuclear weapon use by the Russian army.

This was shared by city council member Oleksandr Beryza during the “Dialogue” program.

He emphasized that the residents of Mykolaiv and the city authorities possess significant experience in overcoming challenges during wartime. He also mentioned that the city leadership had even deliberated on their actions in the event of nuclear attacks from the enemy.

- Mykolaiv has experience in how to act in critical situations and during wartime. Therefore, it takes a lot to scare us, I mean Mykolaiv… I don’t know what could happen. Because, fundamentally, there was a moment when we discussed how we would respond if the Russian Federation used nuclear weapons. I’m not talking about a plan. Just that we theoretically discussed where to hide and when to emerge from that place. And what to do after the strike, - the council member explained.
