The Mykolaiv International Airport, which was destroyed in 2022 at the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, is set to begin restoration immediately after the war concludes.
This announcement was made by Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the international conference "Mykolaiv - a City on the Wave."
"The enemies bombed our airport, which we had just renovated before the war and had launched international flights... But we plan to focus on its restoration right after our victory," Kim stated, emphasizing that this is a crucial step for the recovery of the region's economy.
