In Mykolaiv, a law enforcement officer, a TCC official, and the head of a medical institution organized documents for a man for $8,000 to declare him temporarily unfit for military service due to health reasons and to defer his conscription during mobilization.
This information was reported by the Mykolaiv regional prosecutor's office.
It is noted that law enforcement officials informed about the suspicion of the acting commander of a platoon of the Patrol Police Department in Mykolaiv, the head of the military registration and enlistment office of one of the RTCs and SP in Mykolaiv, as well as the head of one of the medical institutions in Mykolaiv.
They are suspected of receiving illegal benefits through prior conspiracy by a group of individuals (Part 3, Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspects, acting together, received a bribe of $8,000 from a citizen for recognizing him as temporarily unfit for military service due to health issues and for deferring his conscription during mobilization.
The police officer and the TCC official were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine immediately after receiving another part of the illegal benefit amounting to $3,000.
The court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in the amounts of 1,211,200 UAH and 1,059,800 UAH, respectively. Currently, the issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the head of the medical institution is being resolved.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years with confiscation of property.
