Military personnel will be able to choose the Territorial Recruitment Center and the location for the Military Medical Commission

Soon, military personnel will have the option to independently select which Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) to approach and where to undergo the Military Medical Commission (MMC).

The Ministry of Defense is already working on implementing these changes.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization Yekaterina Chernogorenko during a telethon titled "Unified News."

"We are currently conducting an important reform of extraterritoriality. We want to eliminate the necessity of going to the specific TRC and Social Support Center where a person is registered," the official noted.

This is particularly important for those who do not reside in the locality where they registered.

Similar changes are planned for the MMC process. Individuals will be able to undergo medical examinations at any convenient healthcare facility, whether public or private.

According to the Deputy Minister, changes regarding the TRC are expected "in the near future." This idea is supported by the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers.

She pointed out that the TRC and Social Support Centers operate within a unified state registry called "Oberih." Therefore, Ukraine already has a digital infrastructure in place to detach from a specific center.

The innovation concerning the MMC will come a bit later - by the summer of 2025. However, all hospitals in the country are already functioning within the Electronic Health System, which can transmit data to the Ministry of Defense for uploading into the "Reserve+" application.

"We want to provide even more flexibility and link the medical examination to any doctor that is convenient for the individual: this could be a therapist, a family doctor, or specialists if necessary," Chernogorenko explained.
