In Ukraine, pensions will be indexed for 10 million citizens
The government has announced the start of the pension indexing process in Ukraine from March 1. As a result, pensions will increase by 11.5% for more than 10 million citizens.
This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, February 25.
"Starting from March 1, we will conduct pension indexing. Pensions will increase by 11.5% for more than 10 million citizens," - Shmyhal noted.
The minimum increase in pensions will be no less than 100 hryvnias, the head of government added.
According to him, in order to fairly distribute financial resources and specifically raise the lowest pensions, the government is introducing a maximum indexing amount of up to 1500 hryvnias.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky announced pension increases starting in spring. The President stated, "no matter how difficult it is, we are finding resources to help all Ukrainians and Ukrainian producers."
