In Pervomaisk, a 16-year-old girl, along with her friends, brutally assaulted a 12-year-old: she faces 6 years in prison.

Police investigators have reported suspicions against the 16-year-old girl for inflicting bodily harm on a minor in Pervomaisk.

This information was reported by the police of the Mykolaiv region.

For the committed crime, she faces up to six years of imprisonment.

During the pre-trial investigation, police established that in May of the previous year, due to personal animosity between the teenagers, three girls aged 14, 15, and 16, who were acquaintances, repeatedly struck the 12-year-old victim on the head and body in the presence of a group of peers.

Currently, investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Pervomaisk District Prosecutor's Office, have informed the oldest of the suspects about the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Torture"). The sanction of this article provides for up to six years of imprisonment.

Regarding the two other participants, who were under the age of criminal responsibility at the time of the offense, investigators will submit a motion to the court for the application of compulsory educational measures.
