In the Mykolaiv region, the epidemic threshold for influenza and ARVI has been exceeded.
As of the week of February 17 to February 23, 2025, the incidence rate of influenza, ARVI, including COVID-19, in the Mykolaiv region stands at 520.0 per 100,000 population. Over the week, 5,674 people fell ill, including 33 cases of COVID-19, which is an increase of 18.3% compared to the previous week.
In the Mykolaiv region, the incidence rate has exceeded the epidemic threshold by 7.6%, reports the State Institution “Mykolaiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.”
The following areas in the Mykolaiv region have surpassed the epidemic threshold:
- Voznesensk District – by 27.6%;
- Mykolaiv District – by 15.9%.
In the Pervomaisk District and the city of Mykolaiv, the incidence rates are approaching the epidemic threshold, with figures of 3.6% (Pervomaisk District) and 16.6% (Mykolaiv).
During the past week, 228 individuals were hospitalized with influenza and ARVI, including 7 cases of COVID-19. No patients were admitted to intensive care and resuscitation units.
No fatalities due to influenza have been recorded.
