In the Mykolaiv region, the priority in 2025 will be the demining of the water area.

This was announced during a meeting with journalists by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kym.

- The priority will be water demining. There is hope that in 2025 we will accelerate so that businesses can operate in our seas and we can launch the resort season, - Kym said.

It is worth noting that 3164 hectares of the water area have already been surveyed, of which 3119 were completed in 2024.

Currently, 167 pyrotechnic teams are working on demining in the region. Among them, 1091 people are residents of the Mykolaiv region, who are engaged in this important work.

- The indicators of how much we have demined are increasing. But at the same time, new areas are being added. There is a lot of work to do, - the head of the region summarized.
