In Mykolaiv region, a guest tied up a pensioner to a radiator and raped her 15-year-old granddaughter.

A 23-year-old resident of the town of Berezanka has been convicted of raping a minor and unlawfully depriving two individuals of their liberty (Part 3 of Article 152, Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, according to the Mykolaiv regional prosecutor's office.

Prosecutors proved in court that in July 2021, the perpetrator, while in the victims' home and using physical violence, bound the hands and feet of the 15-year-old girl with plastic ties, and tied her 74-year-old grandmother to a radiator. He then committed violent sexual acts against the girl.

During the court proceedings, the accused did not admit guilt. However, the court, after evaluating the evidence presented by the juvenile prosecutor, found the man guilty of the charged offenses.
