The reconstruction will affect the park located along residential buildings No. 17 and No. 19 on Heroiv Ukrainy Avenue. The project's goal is to create an attractive and functional place for relaxation and cultural life for residents and visitors of the city.
The initiator of the project is the Mykolaiv City Council, while the municipal enterprise "Mykolaiv Parks" is responsible for its maintenance.
The project was developed in collaboration with French architect Marten Maurice Henri Duplantier. The concept was prepared between September and November 2023 and did not involve the use of budget funds. A signed memorandum between the Mykolaiv City Council and the architect laid the groundwork for applying European urban principles.
The reconstruction plans include updating roads, pedestrian areas, and alleys using modern materials. To enhance accessibility, additional entrances and exits will be created, along with upgrades to lighting and water supply systems, ensuring a comfortable environment at any time of day.
The park will feature comfortable benches, gazebos, and coffee shops with terraces. Additionally, modern playgrounds will be established with safe play zones for various age groups.
There are plans to plant new trees, shrubs, and flower beds, as well as create areas for relaxation in nature. The central feature of the park will be a water body that will help maintain ecological balance and create a cozy atmosphere.
The project's budget is set at 33 million 65 thousand 113 hryvnias. Construction works will cost 32 million 528 thousand 182 hryvnias, while other capital expenses will amount to 536 thousand 931 hryvnias.
