The Mykolaiv regional children's hospital is slated for reconstruction, with an estimated cost of 1.55 billion hryvnias.

This was announced during a press briefing by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

The project includes the renovation of surgical, diagnostic, infectious, outpatient, and administrative buildings, as well as the construction of a food service block, a hotel for patients coming from the region for treatment, and a central sterilization department.

The reconstruction will be carried out in four phases, with the first two planned to be completed as early as 2025. The estimated cost of the project is 1.55 billion hryvnias.

According to the head of the Regional State Administration, there is a possibility of obtaining funding from donors for the reconstruction.

- The question is not how much money we will receive, but how much we can accomplish. The facility is operational; we cannot close the hospital for the work. We plan to complete two out of four phases in 2025, and I hope that if we manage to complete those, we will have to finish the project anyway, - Kim explained.
