A new trolleybus route is being tested in Mykolaiv. It will facilitate communication between the Northern district and City Hospital No. 4. The endpoint of this route is the Builders' House of Culture in the Dry Fountain area.

The director of the enterprise, Yuriy Smetana, explained what work is being done before launching the new route.

- Our traffic service is verifying the timing between stops, measuring how long the battery charge lasts, inspecting for problematic areas on the roads and potential obstacles to movement, so we can address them. Additionally, during the preparation process, we are announcing all stops with new names, displaying text messages on the information boards, and linking them to specific stops via GPS trackers. All of this requires time and the efforts of the entire team at the utility enterprise, – noted Yuriy Smetana.

This route will be convenient for doctors and patients of Mykolaiv City Hospital No. 4, as its schedule will be designed to allow people to use it for commuting to work or for medical examinations. Students and teachers from Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 39 will also be able to reach the school from the Northern district.

“Next week, we expect a decision from the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council to approve this route, and after that, we will publish the trolleybus schedule,” - stated the enterprise in their announcement.
