Traffic is blocked on a major road in the center of Mykolaiv due to a water pipeline accident.

On the evening of Friday, February 28, traffic was closed on Sadovaya Street in the direction of Kuznetskaya Street.

The restriction is in place on the stretch from Central Avenue to Igor Bedzay Street (Chkalova).

The reason for the closure was an accident on the city water supply: a 400 mm diameter pipe burst. The break occurred at the intersection of Sadovaya Street and Sevastopolskaya Street, resulting in traffic being closed on Sevastopolskaya Street as well.

Currently, despite it being night, an emergency team from the water utility is on-site. Specialists are doing everything possible to address the aftermath of the accident and restore water supply.
