On January 30, 2025, the Mykolaiv City Council made amendments to the toponym register, adding new names for renamed streets, alleys, and parks. District administrations are required to create and install new address plaques with the updated names. This information is reported on the official website of the city council. The director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, Yevhen Polyakov, noted that the updated register will be beneficial for anyone planning to conduct notarial actions with real estate. "This is a kind of dictionary we have compiled, including all decisions on renaming made by both the head of the regional military administration and the city council deputies," he explained. Polyakov added that the register is essential for convenience in processing transactions, as it lists both the old and new names of the toponyms.
