Trolleybuses have begun operating on a new route in Mykolaiv, complete with a new schedule.

On Thursday, December 26, a new trolleybus route No. 3 was launched in Mykolaiv, connecting the Northern Microdistrict with the Builders' House of Culture.

The first passengers departed from the final stop in the Northern Microdistrict at 7:20 AM. This route facilitates access to work for employees of Mykolaiv City Hospital No. 4, as well as helps schoolchildren reach educational institutions located in this area. The PTS trolleybus, with a range of up to 20 kilometers, will operate on the route throughout the day according to the following schedule:

• Departures from the "Northern" terminal:

7:20, 8:24, 9:35, 11:09, 12:11, 13:51, 14:54, 16:14, 17:12, 18:15, 19:23 to the depot.

• Departures from the Builders' House of Culture terminal:

7:53, 9:04, 10:08, 11:41, 12:41, 14:22, 15:22, 16:43, 17:43, 18:50.

The director of KP "Mykolaiv Electotrans," Yuriy Smetana, stated that this is already the third route opened this year, made possible by the acquisition of new trolleybuses. Another route, No. 5 from the "Namiv" microdistrict to Builders' Street, has been restored after nearly three years of suspension.

"Today, the residents of Mykolaiv are witnessing positive changes in our passenger transport services, and this is the result of extensive efforts. The opening of new routes is preceded by significant preparatory work — from training new drivers, assessing the technical feasibility of operating on specific routes, to preparing all necessary documentation for potential service in new directions," emphasized Yuriy Smetana.
