In Mykolaiv, medical staff at the Emergency Medical Care Hospital and maternity hospital have not received their salaries for several months.

Medical workers at the Emergency Medical Care Hospital in Mykolaiv have not been paid since the beginning of 2025, while employees of maternity hospital No. 3 have not received their payments since December 2024.

This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council's commission on housing and communal services.

During the meeting, deputy Irina Boychenko addressed Nikolai Berezhnik, deputy head of the health department, asking how salaries are being paid to medical staff. According to her, several employees of medical institutions in Mykolaiv have approached her with complaints that they have not received their salaries for the third month.

The official explained that the debt arose in two medical institutions due to delays in the contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine. He stated that funds have already started to arrive in the accounts, so by the end of February, medical workers will receive their salaries.

- Salaries are being paid in all institutions; there is only a problem at maternity hospital No. 3 and the Emergency Medical Care Hospital. This is because they received their contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine later. Funds are now beginning to arrive in healthcare institutions. We hope that by the end of February, they will settle their debts. What we have is that they have debts for January and February of this year, - reported Nikolai Berezhnik.

He also noted that maternity hospital No. 3 has outstanding wage debts to its employees from December 2024. However, according to the official, medical workers will receive their money tomorrow or the day after.

- Maternity hospital No. 3 had an outstanding balance from December, but they should have already settled it. They have funds in their accounts, and if not tomorrow, then the day after, people will receive their money, - summarized Berezhnik.
