As of Saturday, January 4, a total of 110 tons of vegetable oil have already been pumped out from the Southern Bug River in Mykolaiv.
This information was shared by Mykolaiv's mayor, Oleksandr Senkevych.
“Thank you to each worker for their efforts. According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the estimated damage amounts to 45 billion hryvnias,” the mayor wrote.
In Mykolaiv, a leak of approximately 1800 tons of sunflower oil occurred in the Bug Liman area due to a Russian attack on December 28. The estimated damage reaches 45 billion hryvnias.
