In Mykolaiv and the region - fog: drivers are advised to be cautious
On the morning of Wednesday, January 8, fog is present on the roads in Mykolaiv and Mykolaiv region, with visibility ranging from 100 to 500 meters.
This information was reported by the patrol police of Mykolaiv region.
“Dear drivers! Choose a speed that allows for timely braking in case of unexpected obstacles. When driving, increase the distance between vehicles, as wet road surfaces extend braking distances.
Use fog lights; if your car is not equipped with them, turn on the low beam headlights. Pay close attention to vehicles moving in front of you. Avoid sudden braking unless absolutely necessary. When stopping, brake smoothly, pull over to the shoulder, and activate your hazard lights to indicate your vehicle's dimensions.
Dear pedestrians! Remember that it is difficult for drivers to see you in fog. Cross the street only at pedestrian crossings and only when the traffic light is green. Before you start to cross, ensure that all vehicles have come to a stop and are yielding to you.
Remember! Your safety on the road primarily depends on you!” the message states.
