On Friday, January 10, concerned residents of Mykolaiv gathered on Soborna Street to safeguard the plane trees that employees of the KP "Mykolaiv Parks" had been controversially pruning for the past two days.

This was reported by environmentalist Inna Tymchenko on her page.

According to her, tomorrow, January 11, residents will hold a protest against the destruction of trees by municipal workers.

“We decided to protect the plane trees as much as we can and for as long as we have the strength. Tomorrow, we invite everyone who wants to express their protest against the deliberate destruction of the plane trees by the Mykolaiv Parks enterprise (disguised as formative and sanitary pruning) to join us on Soborna Street at 11:30 in Kashtanovyi Square. Signs are welcome,” the message stated.

A meeting of the deputy commission also took place in the regional council.
