An apartment building was on fire in Mykolaiv

On the evening of January 4, firefighters received a report of a fire in an apartment on the sixth floor of a nine-story building in the Ingulskyi district of Mykolaiv.

This information was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.

Two units from the 4th state fire and rescue department, along with the on-duty shift of the operational coordination center of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region, were promptly dispatched to the scene.

The fire broke out in the bathroom. The area of the fire was just 1.5 square meters, and thanks to the swift actions of the firefighters, it was quickly contained, preventing the spread of flames to adjacent rooms.

The apartment owners managed to escape the smoke-filled dwelling before the rescuers arrived. A total of 11 emergency service personnel and 3 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire was found to be careless smoking.
