In Mykolaiv, an apartment in a "zhilkop" was on fire: a pensioner was hospitalized
On Thursday, February 13, in Mykolaiv, neighbors noticed smoke coming from an apartment in a residential building of the "zhilkop" type and reported it to the emergency hotline 101.
This information was provided by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast.
A unit from the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. Neighbors informed the rescuers that a woman was likely inside the building.
The firefighters, equipped with gas and smoke protection gear, conducted a reconnaissance and found the victim, born in 1948, in a room. They carried her to fresh air and handed her over to the ambulance team. The woman was hospitalized in a medical facility.
The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to a small area. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
Eight personnel and two specialized vehicles from the State Emergency Service were involved in the operation.
