The presidential elections have begun in Belarus
On the morning of January 26, elections commenced in Belarus, with Alexander Lukashenko participating once again. Voting stations have opened across the nation.
This information was reported by the website "Belarus Today."
It is known that a total of 5,325 voting stations have been established. They opened at 8:00 AM local time and will operate until 8:00 PM.
According to the publication, the Central Election Commission of Belarus has a service available on its website for finding voting stations. This means that by entering the required information, any voter can discover the location of their voting station. At the same time, it was emphasized that each voter must cast their ballot in person; voting on behalf of others is not permitted.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Igor Karpenko, stated that during the "elections," international observers are allegedly monitoring the electoral process in all regions. The "largest" mission of observers is from the CIS, with the second largest coming from the SCO.
Additionally, it is claimed that representatives and heads of the election commissions from CIS countries and distant foreign nations are present. There are also reports of individual "experts" supposedly representing nearly all continents (excluding Australia) and 17 Western European countries.
The publication notes that a press conference with Chairman Igor Karpenko titled "On the preliminary results of the voting in the 'elections' for the President of the Republic of Belarus" is scheduled for January 27, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
On the same day, Monday, January 27, at 11:00 AM, a final press conference by the Central Election Commission titled "On the preliminary results of the 'elections' for the President of the Republic of Belarus" will take place.
The publication added that from January 21 to 25, so-called early "voting" occurred in Belarus, in which allegedly 41.81% of citizens listed for "voting" participated.
