Terrorist attack in Mykolaiv: here's everything we know so far.

According to preliminary reports, the explosion that occurred in Mykolaiv on Friday, February 14, was a terrorist act targeting Ukrainian servicemen.

This information was provided to "Novosti-N" by sources within law enforcement agencies.

Law enforcement officials now have a general understanding of the incident. Around 2:00 PM, two vehicles arrived one after another at the café "V smaku." One vehicle contained military personnel, while the other had civilian demining specialists. A woman approached the soldiers as they exited the vehicles—eyewitnesses claim she was holding a bag. The woman allegedly asked the soldiers a question and placed the bag she was holding on the asphalt. It was at that moment that the explosion occurred.

As a result of the terrorist attack, two people died at the scene, including the female terrorist. Eight others were injured, with several in critical condition. Additionally, some of the injured, after receiving medical assistance, left the hospital and returned to the explosion site.

However, some witnesses assert that the terrorist was alive immediately after the explosion—reportedly, she was taken away by an ambulance.

Some details about the woman who carried out the attack are already known. According to news.pn, citing its own sources in law enforcement, she arrived from the village of Horishni Plavni in the Poltava region. At the hotel where she stayed, the woman allegedly left a small child.

The fact that the explosion occurred at the moment the woman carrying the explosive device was present undoubtedly indicates that she was used "in the dark" and was unaware of what was in the bag.

As previously reported, on Friday, February 14, around 2:00 PM, an explosion from an unknown object occurred on Pohranichna Street near a public eatery. Later, news emerged about two fatalities.

Additionally, earlier in Mykolaiv, a man blew himself up with a grenade.
