Gas tariffs: the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities clarified whether an increase for the population is planned
The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NCSREU) states that there are currently no plans to change gas tariffs for the population.
This was reported by the press service of the NCSREU.
"Attention! False information is being spread in the media. No changes to gas tariffs for the population are anticipated," the statement reads.
It is noted that the current gas tariff for households remains unchanged. The NCSREU's decision to approve new tariffs for gas transportation will not affect residential consumers.
On December 30, 2024, the NCSREU approved new tariffs for natural gas transportation services for the LLC "Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine." These tariffs take into account the cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine, which is planned to start on January 1, 2025.
The cost of gas distribution also remains unchanged, the regulator adds.
The moratorium on increasing gas and heating tariffs for the population, which has been in effect since 2022, remains in force. Consequently, the cost of hot water and heating will not change.
