The new U.S. President Donald Trump announced an upcoming conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I will talk to Putin and I think we might do something significant," Trump stated during a press briefing at the White House on Friday evening.

He also mentioned that he is having a "very serious" discussion with Russia regarding the end of the war in Ukraine.
