Suicide at a bus station in Mykolaiv: a man detonated a grenade, resulting in a tragic incident (video).

On Friday, February 14, at around 10:00 AM, a report was received on the special line "102" regarding an incident near the intercity bus station on Bohoyavlensky Avenue, where an unknown man detonated an explosive device and died.

This information was reported by the police of Mykolaiv region.

According to preliminary data, a 41-year-old man committed suicide by detonating a grenade. No one else was harmed.

Explosive ordnance disposal specialists recovered fragments of an RGD-5 grenade from the scene. During the examination of the deceased's belongings, no other explosive devices were found.

The body of the deceased will be sent for forensic examination.

The police have preliminarily classified this incident under part 1 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Intentional Homicide," as required by procedure in such cases.

At the scene, officers from the investigative-operational group of police station No. 2 of the Mykolaiv district police department, investigators from the regional police investigative department, criminologists, and explosives experts are working.
