Russians are bypassing Pokrovsk from the south and approaching the Dnipropetrovsk region, - UP

The Russian army has opted not to storm Pokrovsk head-on but to circumvent it from the south to the west, thereby getting closer to the Dnipropetrovsk region.

This is reported by UP, citing sources among military personnel operating in the Pokrovsk direction, specifically the commander of the 108th separate mechanized battalion "Wolves Da Vinci," Sergey Filimonov.

Currently, the Russians are advancing toward the settlements of Kotlino and Udachne, located along the Mezhova-Pokrovsk route. According to the map from Ukrainian intelligence agency DeepState, the Russians are less than two kilometers away from them. UP reports that it is actually less than one kilometer.

This indicates that the Russians have completely blocked the Mezhova-Pokrovsk route – a vital logistical artery for the Defense Forces, linking the Dnipropetrovsk region with Pokrovsk.

The distance from the Russian outpost near Kotlino and Udachne to the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region is seven kilometers.

"It was obvious. The Russians aim to cut off logistics and capture the city (Pokrovsk – UP) without a fight."

At the same time, another source from UP is convinced that Pokrovsk is not the primary target for the Russians. Their main objective is to reach the Dnipropetrovsk region and expand their offensive into it.
