Russia aims to conclude negotiations regarding Ukraine and finish the war before May 9, which marks the 80th anniversary of the USSR's victory over Nazi Germany.

This opinion was expressed by Sky News correspondent Ivor Bennett, who works in Russia.

"I believe that the Kremlin hopes to finalize negotiations by May 9, when the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany will be celebrated. The goal will be a dual celebration," the journalist stated.

In his view, by 2025, the full-scale war in Ukraine will be definitively halted, and "negotiations seem inevitable." Regardless of how the war concludes, Russia will assert that it is a victory for them, Bennett believes.
