On January 15, Russia launched a missile attack on Ukraine, triggering alarms across the country. In the Mykolaiv region, the alert lasted from 6:08 AM.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the movement of numerous missile groups. Explosions were heard in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.

The Telegram channel "Mykolaiv Vanyek" specified that Russia also launched "Kalibr" missiles.

Additionally, Russia deployed strategic aviation Tu-22M3 aircraft (carriers of Kh-22 missiles) into the sky. The launch of Kalibr-type cruise missiles was also recorded from the Black Sea area.

Specifically, missiles were detected in the territories of Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Transcarpathian, and Lviv regions. Air targets were also observed in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and other regions.

At least six Tu-95MS aircraft were launched by the Russian Armed Forces from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.

The Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, reported that due to the massive Russian attack, preventive measures to limit electricity usage are being implemented in the country.

Following the missile attack from Russia on January 15, Poland scrambled its combat aviation. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces. Poland activated combat pairs on duty, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on high alert.

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, there were no casualties as a result of the Russian missile strike on Wednesday, January 15. The occupiers targeted critical infrastructure facilities, reported the head of the regional military administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk.

Air defense forces were active in the region. The Russians used various types of weaponry.

According to Onyshchuk, efforts are underway in the region to eliminate the aftermath of the shelling.

The energy infrastructure in the Lviv region was also under attack.

"During the morning attack, enemy cruise missiles were recorded in the region. As of now, they no longer pose a threat," wrote Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.

He stated that the enemy targeted the energy infrastructure of the region and Ukraine. Sadovyi noted that emergency power outages have been introduced in several regions, but Lviv is not currently on this list.

Meanwhile, the regional military administration reported that there were hits on two critical infrastructure facilities in the Drohobych and Stryi districts of the Lviv region.

An air raid alert was lifted in the Mykolaiv region at 8:17 AM.
