The Mykolaiv region has become the only one to save half a billion hryvnias allocated for road repairs from the state budget — the funds were returned to the treasury, but with a condition.

This was stated in an interview with “Ukrinform” by the head of the Mykolaiv OVA, Vitaliy Kim.

- Our region is the only one that saved 500 million UAH of budget funds received from the State Road Agency and returned them to the state. However, we agreed that this money would be used for the repair of the R-55 road, which was not included in the previous list of projects. And this applies to other areas as well. We are saving on the budget, but we hope that these funds will be used for other important projects in our region, - he said.
