The Secretariat of the National Union of Writers is reaching out for assistance from writers in Ukraine, creative unions, and organizations both in Ukraine and abroad, as well as the entire Ukrainian community and all those willing to help with charitable contributions for the repair and restoration of the Writers' House, which was damaged during the aerial attack by the Russian forces on January 1 of this year.
This was reported by the head of the National Union of Writers Mykhailo Sydorzhievskyi on his social media page.
“Unfortunately, the Union of Writers lacks the financial resources to repair the Writers' House on its own. For the year 2025, the Union has been allocated only 567,100 UAH from the state budget for holding events,” wrote Sydorzhievskyi.

PAYMENT PURPOSE: Charitable contribution for the repair of the Writers' House premises, damaged as a result of the drone attack by the Russian Federation. Excluding VAT.
In this context, Sydorzhievskyi mentioned that after the building is restored, a Gratitude Board will be created, listing the names of all donors.
Reminder, on the morning of January 1, the Russian airstrike led to destruction in two districts of Kyiv. Two people died, and four were rescued by emergency services.
