A 10-year-old boy died in a fire in Mykolaiv region

On Friday, January 17, a report was received on the 101 emergency line regarding a fire in an apartment on the top floor of a four-story residential building in the village of Berezanka, Mykolaiv district.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv region.

During the operational reconnaissance, rescuers discovered the body of the deceased 10-year-old boy in one of the rooms of the heavily smoke-filled house.

The fire covered an area of 2 square meters. A mattress was burned.

Four firefighters and one unit of the State Emergency Service's equipment were involved in the operation. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Circumstances will be clarified by law enforcement officers.
