Who will receive the highest pension in 2025: what the payments will be

In Ukraine, only certain categories of retirees can receive the maximum pension. Who will be eligible for it and what amount is being discussed for 2025 is covered in the article below.

According to the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance," the maximum pension amount is dependent on the minimum subsistence level for non-working individuals and cannot exceed 10 times that minimum. Currently, this minimum is set at 2,361 hryvnias, which means the maximum pension cannot surpass 23,610 hryvnias.

It is important to note that this amount remains the same as in 2024, although it was increased by 2,680 hryvnias then due to a rise in the minimum subsistence level. This year, it will remain unchanged as no increase is planned in the budget until 2028.

Who is currently entitled to the maximum pension:

• government officials;
• local government employees;
• scientists;
• elected representatives.
