A man was carried out unconscious from a burning apartment in Mykolaiv, but unfortunately, efforts to save him were unsuccessful.

On Wednesday, February 19, a report was received by emergency line 101 about a fire in an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story residential building in the Zavodskoy district of the city.

This information was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv region.

Firefighting units 2 and 3 were dispatched to the scene, along with the duty shift of the operational coordination center of the Main Directorate.

“Upon arrival, firefighters conducted reconnaissance as the apartment was heavily smoke-filled and discovered an unconscious man. Rescuers carried him to the yard and performed resuscitation efforts until the medical team arrived. Unfortunately, these efforts were futile, and the doctors pronounced the man dead,” – the report states.

The fire was extinguished over a small area of 3 square meters, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A total of 14 personnel and 4 special vehicles from the State Emergency Service were involved in the operation.
