On Tuesday, January 21, a flash mob took place on one of the central streets of Mykolaiv – Admiral Street – dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine. Participants included students from several clubs and studios of the Mykolaiv City Palace of Creativity for Students.
The children, along with their teachers, formed a circle while holding a ribbon in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and placards displaying the names of Ukrainian cities, which they attached to the ribbon. Each participant named a specific city and proclaimed a slogan associated with it. For instance, Mykolaiv was described as the city of the indomitable, Kharkiv as the scientific and industrial center of Ukraine, Kherson as the southern fortress of Ukraine, Luhansk as the future revival, Uzhhorod as a blend of world cultures, and Odesa as the port connecting Ukraine with the world. Kyiv was referred to as the soul of Ukraine.
The flash mob concluded with the slogan “Glory to a United Ukraine!”, after which the participants returned to the Palace of Creativity for Students.
