The director of KP "Mykolaiv Parks," Dmytro Chuchmai, believes that after the removal of 842 poplar trees along Central Avenue in Mykolaiv in 2022, the city's main thoroughfare has significantly improved and now truly resembles a CENTRAL avenue.
The head of the enterprise made this statement during a briefing on Thursday, January 16, citing Central Avenue as an example of effective work.
- Notice the Central Avenue, the poplars. 842 units. Remember all that. What was the avenue like back then? Closed off, it was unclear what was going on. When the full-scale invasion began, it was necessary to strengthen Mykolaiv’s defense capabilities. Wood was needed. A decision was made to tidy up Central Avenue and completely remove those poplars. And look at it now. This is Central Avenue, truly a CENTRAL avenue. Yes, the quality of the surface is... But this is an avenue! - said Dmytro Chuchmai.
Previously, we reported that KP "Mykolaiv Parks" intends to plant new trees along Central Avenue in Mykolaiv to replace the poplars that were cut down at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
